The last of my sequence of micro-weddings prior to lockdown last year meant a return to a local venue that I know well, Runcorn Town Hall. Another simple yet beautiful small wedding with Philippa and Nathan with the ceremony taking place at the Town Hall before moving onto The Bakehouse at the Old Post Office in Runcorn.
A touching moment at the start of the ceremony happened as a couple of the guests who couldn't attend the wedding due to the number restrictions, arrived to surprise the couple by holding out a banner wishing the couple good luck for their special day in a socially distanced formation.
As a Cheshire Wedding Photographer, I've photographed a number of weddings at Runcorn Town Hall and I always find that the light in the Council Chamber can often be quite striking, particularly on a sunny day. I also love the grand nature of the layout, the red carpet set against the blue floor and the opportunity to use the door way to frame some of my images. The photo opportunities continue outside in the grounds as Runcorn Town Hall boasts award winning gardens, wide green spaces and the Town Hall itself creates a picturesque backdrop when set against a stunning blue sky.
Something that I love to focus on during a wedding is capturing those little looks and glances whether it's between family and friends or in this case the bride and groom. The connection is there for all to see and it was lovely to have the opportunity to document such a small, intimate wedding ceremony. Following on from a short photo-shoot in the ground of the Town Hall we headed over to The Bakehouse just to capture some last images with family and friends and the wonderful image of Philippa and Nathan outside The Bakehouse door.
