A short trip north to Lancashire for the wedding of Theone and Alex at the historic Astley Bank in Darwen, a picturesque 19th-century mansion surrounded by scenic landscape gardens. An ideal setting for an emotional wedding day with such a lovely couple. Although it rained for most of the day I was still able to capture many emotional moments from tears to laughter and watching the poor groom endure hilarious speeches which were mostly at his expense!
Although rainy wedding days limit the number of outdoor photographs that I can take, as you can see from this selection I used all of my experience and technical expertise to ensure that Theone and Alex still receive a collection of beautiful photographs using the indoor surroundings available. Astley Bank Hotel is home to impressive features including the main staircase, reception area, and stained glass windows which all make for picture-perfect backdrops for a photographer like me.
