On my travels again, this time to Lancashire to visit the historic Great Hall at Mains along the River Wyre for the wedding of Melanie and Matthew. A wonderfully emotional wedding day with many personal touches including the bride walking down the aisle to the theme tune of Star Wars!
With the weather set for rain for most of the day, I didn't have to worry as the setting allowed for many opportunities for beautiful indoor portraits of the couple and I was fortunate that both Melanie and Matthew are a lovely, caring and laid back couple who were happy to put there trust in me and allow me to make the most of the situation.
As it happened towards the end of the day the rain stopped, the sun came out and so did the wedding party, so we created a short, improvised photo-shoot outside in the beautiful, Tudor gardens at The Great Hall at Mains. As you can see from the images below we also had great fun with a confetti shot, I just love the expressions on Melanie and Matthew's faces.
