Rochdale Town Hall - The Wedding of Karen and Adam.
Updated: Mar 19, 2019
I love the fact that life as a wedding photographer provides a unique opportunity to visit historic sites which I might otherwise miss. So when I was invited to Rochdale Town Hall to document Karen and Adam's wedding I really wasn't sure what to expect, however I was in for a pleasant surprise.
The Grade I listed municipal building is "widely recognised as being one of the finest municipal buildings in the country" and I can see why. It proved to be a stunning backdrop for a lovely wedding ceremony which started with the bridesmaids and bride making an entrance down the main stairs which lead into the main entrance hall.
The ceremony itself was full of warmth and plenty of smiles and if one photo sums up the day I would say it's the broad smiles on the faces of the bride and groom during the wedding recessional, followed by the hugs and congratulations from family and friends. Karen and Adam were kind enough to allow me a little time with them outside but we didn't go far as it was REALLY cold but still we managed to create a couple of quick portraits before returning to the warmth and splendor of the town hall surroundings.
I love documenting full day and half day weddings at many of Cheshire's historic sites so if you're planning your wedding day for 2019/20 then please get in touch.
