This was my first visit to the Red Hall Hotel in Walmersley, having been invited to document the wedding of Darren and Ken and capture many warm and emotional moments with their family and friends. After a beautiful ceremony we ventured outside and made the most of the lovely surroundings and the gorgeous blue sky which allowed for creative couples shots.
Darren and Ken were an amazing couple to photograph, great fun and really easy going making my job an absolute pleasure. I really appreciate couples who put there trust in me and my creative vision and as a photographer I am always looking to discover interesting locations at a wedding venue. In this case, having used the main garden area for the initial photographs, I asked the couple if they would be happy for me to take a couple of images at the back of the kitchen area? Not glamorous by any means but what I had spotted before the wedding day began was the dry stone wall which I knew would make an interesting back drop for my style of photography.
