During the Christmas break I had the pleasure to photograph Gill and Keith's winter wedding at the beautiful Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire. A stunning venue, a lovely, relaxed and fun couple to photograph and absolutely gorgeous winter sun .. I couldn't have asked for more!
As I am based in Frodsham, Nunsmere Hall is actually a local venue for me as I can travel through Delamere Forest and arrive in around twenty five minutes. I always enjoy arriving early to a venue whenever possible to take in the scenery and quietly document the landscape before my busy day begins. Arriving early at Nunsmere Hall was certainly worth while as the Hall and the beautiful surrounding were bathed in early morning winter sun .. just beautiful.
The cold winter weather was certainly offset by the warm welcome from the Bride and Groom and their family and friends. I must say a huge thank you to Stephen and Drew who helped me to organise a large group shot in the grounds at Nunsmere Hall, we put together a well worked plan of action to ensure that the guests and family members were not kept waiting out in the cold. Gill and Keith however were happy to endure the falling temperature at least for a short while as we made the most of the 'golden hour' as the sun set across the frost covered lawns.
One highlight which stood out for me was listening to Drew (the brides son) singing while Gill and Keith signed the register after the wedding ceremony and I love the photos of the flower girls who carried out their tasks perfectly on the big day.
